This recipe was originally published during my first six months of blogging. Although my only readers at that time were close friends and family, this recipe is by far the most viewed recipe on The Joyful Home.
They’re the perfect anytime treat, but it’s become a tradition for me to bake these as 1st day of school treat for my kids. You could even take some to meet-the-teacher night if you really want to get on a teacher’s good side 🙂
Years ago, I set out to make those cookies even better. I came across THIS article, declaring that the head of Nestle’s test kitchen suggested using half the amount of butter called for in the original Toll House recipe.
Now, I know what you’re thinking how in the world will half the butter result in a better cookie? That defies logic. Less calories, better cookie? I couldn’t believe it either, until I actually tried it and got these.Yep, chocolate chip cookie perfection- better than the original Toll House recipe. Nice and round and soft, but not cakey. Amazing.
I’m telling you, try this today or add it to your “to do” list. And pin it so you won’t forget! Enjoy!
