Happy Tuesday, friends. We’re waking up to actual fall temperatures in Dallas this morning–hallelujah! Fall doesn’t last long around here, so I’m going to soak up every minute of it. I’m thrilled to finally wear some of my fall must-haves and the perfect fall outfit I shared here last week. I can also finally wear the pants I never thought I’d wear.
Faux leather leggings have been on the trend list for a while now, but I just didn’t think they were “me.” I took a chance, however, and finally ordered the Spanx faux leather leggings. Oh my word. I love them!
I’m all about mixing and matching pieces in my closet, so I’ll show you two ways to style faux leather leggings.
Today’s outfit is Part 1–a casual daytime look for errands, shopping, and running around with kids. Later this week, I’ll show you Part 2–a nighttime look for date night or a girls’ dinner out.
Spanx knows how to make flattering pieces. These Spanx faux leather leggings hold you in perfectly. They’re also bit high-waisted to eliminate your muffin top. They fit true to size. Oh, and they come in navy, too!
I love plaid, but I’m kind of picky about plaid shirts. I don’t want to look like a 90’s grunge enthusiast (I wasn’t one back in the day, and I’m still not!), nor do I want to look like a woodcutter.
This plaid shirt is just right. I adore the classic colors. It has a relaxed tunic-length fit that works with leggings (to cover up your bum and lady parts). You can also pair it with jeans and wear it tucked or untucked. It fits TTS, and I’m wearing an XS.
I truly wear these ballet flats all the time. Gold is a lovely neutral, and these aren’t too bright or shiny (color name= gold leather). They are the most comfortable ballet flats you’ll ever wear. If gold isn’t your color, you’re in luck because these come in a rainbow of others. I also adore my leopard print ones.
My earrings are sold out, but I’ve linked a similar pair that come in 5 colors–some are marked down to $13! I have them in two colors because I couldn’t help myself. My bag is also sold out in black, but you can find it in three other great neutrals. If you’re looking for a black bag at a similar price point, I’d recommend these:
I know some of you won’t embrace the faux leather legging trend. I completely understand. I hope today’s post still inspired you because this outfit would be just as cute with a pair of regular black leggings.
I’ve owned these leggings for three years and highly recommend them. They’re not see-through, and they hold their shape well if you order a size down. I have them in both grey and black.
