Thank you so much for your kind feedback about Tuesday’s post. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone by getting in front of the camera. I’d much rather being taking pictures than having pictures taken of me, but it was a fun experience, and I learned a lot.
As promised, I’m showing you more blue and white stripes today. I started with the same blue and white striped top and my favorite white jeans. Then, I just changed up the shoes and accessories. This look is much more relaxed and much more “me” for running errands and carpools with my babes.
Isn’t it amazing what a little change up can do? This jacket is likely the most-worn piece in my closet. Mine is actually from J.Crew Mercantile, but they’re never available online. If you live in Dallas, Park Lane usually has them. Otherwise, go for the real-deal J.Crew version.
My sneakers also get tons of wear all year. These run more true to size than other Converse sneakers, and they’re oh-so-comfy. These look brand new only because I just washed them–regular cycle and then dried in the sun.
Several of you have also asked about my hair. It’s actually super curly and puts up a constant fight. To get these waves, I coated it with no-frizz cream and straightening gel and blew it dry. Then, I sprayed it with heat protectant and curled it in sections with my new curling iron. It sounds like a ton of work, but thanks to this amazing dry shampoo, I only have to do this twice a week.
My hope is that posts like this will inspire you and give you ideas about how to mix and match your own closets. If you have any ideas for future posts (style related or otherwise) or if you have any questions about fit or sizing, please leave a comment or send me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org. I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing from you!
