How’s your week going, friends? Some of you are probably on spring break this week, and some of you (like me) will be on spring break next week. I always look forward to time with my family, and after a busy last few weeks, my kids are ready for a break from school and activities. No big plans this year–just downtime at the lake and then off to Houston to celebrate the miracle baby’s first birthday!
I’m a sucker for blue and white, and I especially love blue and white stripes. This top was love at first sight. I mean, blue and white stripes plus ruffles…perfection.
I’m all about mixing and matching to maximize my closet. So, today you’re going to see this top + white jeans combo a little dressed up (hello heels!). On Thursday, I’ll show you a more toned down version.
Seriously, this top is a spring must-have. The ruffled edges around the collar and sleeves are the perfect detail. It also ties around the neck in the back which would be so cute if you’re wearing your hair up. This style is just so pretty and can easily be dressed up or down or even layered. There’s also a drapey version available in several colors.
If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m obsessed with statement earrings right now. This pair is especially fun and colorful. They’re also pretty light and easy on the ears. I’ve linked some other fun ones at the bottom of this post.
My ears can be sensitive to heavier earrings, and I often wear Lobe Wonders. They’re just little clear stickers that you put on the back of your earlobe for extra support.
I’m sad this clutch is no longer available. I bought it last year on a whim and then ended up using it all.the.time. The gold and cork combo goes with everything. I’ve linked a similar one, and I’ll let you know if/when mine comes back in stock.
White jeans are a closet staple. I don’t think the “no white after Labor Day/before Memorial Day” rule applies anymore, and that’s a good thing. White jeans work well all year, and this pair is my hands-down favorite. They hold their shape (even if you like to go multiple wears between washings…), and they don’t turn yellow.
As much as I love everything else about this outfit, I adore these heels. I scooped up this nude pair during Nordstrom’s last big sale. They’re the perfect height, and they’re actually comfortable. I wore them with the cutest cold-shoulder top for date night last week (which you might have seen on Instagram) and to church on Sunday with my favorite dress.
The heels come in tons of colors and prints and even a couple of laser-cut versions. I have super narrow feet, so I also appreciate that they’re available in multiple widths.
Here’s a sneak peek of look #2. It’s dressed down and something you’re more likely to see me in when I’m running my kids around during the week. See the full post HERE.
