Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos
What you’ll need:
- 4 chicken breasts (about 2 lbs total)
- 1 jar salsa (15-16 oz.)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
What you’ll do:
- Place all ingredients into your slow cooker and give it a good stir.
- Cook on low 6-8 hours.
- Remove chicken from broth and shred with two forks. Return to broth to keep warm.
If you can deny yourself the deliciousness of a tortilla or just want to eat cleaner, this chicken is also tasty on top of a salad with all of the fixings and some fresh salsa.
These tacos are a perfect dinner for nights when your kids have multiple activities and get home at different times. Just keep the chicken warm in the slow cooker until they’re ready to eat. It’s also perfect for those rare nights you get to go out to dinner with your girlfriends and leave your husband in charge of dinner.
